O.G.ONE, also known as David Jackson, is a highly respected DJ in the music industry with 25+ years of experience. He has become a legendary figure in the Pacific Northwest due to his exceptional music skills and business integrity. O.G.ONE has performed at several iconic events and parties alongside A-List celebrities such as Dua Lipa, Rihanna, and Jay Z. He serves as a Governor Board Member of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Recording Academy and CEO of One God Productions Inc., Leadertainment LLC, and Founder/President of The Leadertainment Foundation. David Jackson, popularly known as O.G.ONE, is an accomplished author, activist, personal & professional developmental coach, and speaker who has been an inspiration to many. He has devoted his life to breaking the cycle of crime, hopelessness, and despair that many people face by sharing his first-hand experiences and pushing them to fulfill their potential. Born in Falls Church, Virginia, and raised in Watts, California, O.G.ONE has overcome several obstacles, including his own run-ins with gang life and the ills that affect our communities.
O.G.ONE has won several awards for his community efforts, youth activism, and philanthropy, including the 2019, 2020, 2021 Best of Portland Award for DJ & Music Production, 2019 Hip Hop Honoree Award, 2012 Emerald Award, 2011 Ellechor Media Award, and the KPTV Oregon's 12 For Kid's Sake Award, among others. His biggest battle was fighting stage three colorectal cancer, waking up from surgery blind, and losing total use of his right arm. Despite this, he overcame it all and became cancer-free, sharing his journey of keeping faith through it all.
O.G.ONE is a devout believer in God, and he sees himself as a public servant for God, using every pain, struggle, and hardship he experienced in his life to develop his faith. He believes that the gifts and talents he has been given through music, leadership, coaching, and mentoring are tools that he can use to inspire hope, faith, and positive citizenship.
Apart from being a pioneer in the community, O.G.ONE is also a pioneer of his family, having been married for over 30 years and fathering six children and three grandchildren. He is a true inspiration to all who encounter him and has shared so much about his life with the youth, making his speaking appearances real and relevant.
